Please note this only involves a small number of contact lens boxes and your particular contact lenses may not be affected, however we are taking every precaution and would like to speak with you further.
The recall has been initiated by our supplier, CooperVision, due to the incorrect labelling on a specific Lot number of Easyvision Umere Daily Contact Lenses with the prescription, -6.50. From our records, we can see that you have purchased this type of lens from us, however again, please note that your particular lens may not have been in the Lot number affected.
Even though there are only a small number of affected boxes currently in circulation, to ensure we continue to provide you with the best standard of eyecare, we are issuing a wider immediate recall on Easyvision Umere Daily Contact Lenses (-6.50) sold between the dates of 1st October 2014 – 20th February 2015. We will also provide you with a full replacement at no cost to you.
Our Contact Lens Customer Service Team will be calling you from today to speak with you in more detail and will also be available throughout the weekend (28th-29th March) personally for your support.
What should you do
A member of the Specsavers Contact Lens Customer Service Team will be calling you from today and over the weekend, however if you receive this before we manage to speak with you, please examine your Easyvision Umere Daily Spherical Contact Lenses (-6.50) packaging and check the Lot number located on the base of the blister pack and outer box packaging near the barcode.
If your product is lot number R0031987, we advise you to cease use immediately and we will arrange return and replacement of the product at no cost to you.
If you have any other Lot number than the number featured above, your contact lenses have been labelled correctly and are suitable for continued use.
