Help and frequently asked questions

Can a person with diabetes prevent eye problems occurring?

Answer:

There are good reasons for believing that many cases of visual problems arising from diabetes are preventable. Current knowledge suggests that the best way a diabetic can reduce their risk of eye problems is to maintain a good diet and follow the treatment programme that the doctor has recommended. Do not change your diet or take supplements without consulting your doctor as this can affect your insulin dosage requirements.
