Help and frequently asked questions

What is a keratometer?

Answer:

This piece of equipment is used to measure the curvature of the cornea so that the optometrist can determine the shape of contact lens that you may need. The optometrist also uses it to establish whether any astigmatism you may have is a result of the curvature of the cornea. By comparing this with your prescription your optometrist can select the appropriate contact lenses for you.
