Help and frequently asked questions

What is the treatment for ocular allergy?

Answer:

Treatment for ocular allergy usually depends on avoidance of the allergen (the cause of the allergy eg pollen), particularly for those with allergic conjunctivitis. However if this isn't possible there are several ways the symptoms can be relieved. Some allergies can be soothed with cool compresses and artificial tears, over the counter antihistamines are also helpful.

However if these methods don't help rapidly or symptoms are severe you should visit your optometrist or medical practitioner, they will be able to recommend other ways to treat the symptoms urgently.
