Three things you need to consider when choosing your glasses

If you've ever had trouble finding the right frames, you're not alone. We caught up with @timdessaint from our Style Squad who found that once he got to know which frames best suited his face shape, skin tone and personality, it was easy to love his frames.

“I used to hate wearing glasses. I would do everything in my power not to wear them, even though I needed them. At school, I would sit closer to the board and squint to see what was written, I would play sports without them even though my performance suffered because I couldn’t see the ball properly, even in my own room when no one was around, I still wouldn’t wear them to convince myself I didn’t need them.

“Until one day, I actually found a pair of frames that looked good on me. The shape, the size, the colour, everything fit my face perfectly and that was the pair that made me Iove glasses. I believe everyone can look great in glasses, it’s just about finding the right pair for you.”

For help finding your next pair of glasses, here are the 3 things you need to consider when choosing your glasses. Check out Tim’s style tips in the video:

Who said pink was only for girls? Let’s start breaking some of those stereotypes. These are “women’s” glasses from female designer @carlazampatti but that doesn’t mean you can’t pull them off as a man. I think that, styled correctly, they can look just as good on both men and women. Guys out there, if there’s some piece of clothing or accessory you like that’s marketed for women, don’t be afraid to give it a try. Forget labels.

Glasses are a great way to inject a little personality into your outfit. If you have to wear prescription frames, might as well make the most out of it and have a little fun with your eyewear.
