Specsavers is a proud partner to The Ministry of Social Development and together will assist in subsidising the cost of your glasses and eye test.
If you're on a low income or benefit the Ministry of Social Development may be able to help you with the cost of eye tests and glasses. Funding does not apply to everyone, to see if you qualify, contact the Ministry of Social Development on 0800 559 009 or visit their website for further information. Then bring in your Ministry of Social Development payment card at the time of your appointment.

Half price eye exam only available upon presentation of a valid Ministry of Social Development Payment card. Half price eye exam applies to comprehensive eye tests only, normally valued at $60, reduced to $30. Excludes contact lens examinations.

Price complete with standard single‑vision, progressive or bifocal lenses. Frame upgrades, alternative lenses, lens options are not available under this scheme unless recommended by the optometrist.
