Help and frequently asked questions

I've got mild hay fever. Can I wear contact lenses?

Answer:

You may find lenses uncomfortable when your hay fever is active. You can discontinue lens wear until your symptoms subside, or use lens comfort drops for temporary relief. Alternatively, ask your medical practitioner about drugs which, taken each year before the hay fever season, may prevent the onset of the allergic response.

If you take over the counter tablets for your hay fever, there's no reason why you can't continue to wear lenses, provided they are comfortable and you don't experience too much itching or watering of the eyes. However, you shouldn't wear your lenses if you use topical drugs that you put into your eyes.
