Why do I need to have air blown into my eyes as part of the eye examination?
Answer:
This is part of a test which measures your intraocular pressure (IOP) using a tonometer - a raised IOP can indicate a problem with the eye such as glaucoma. The puff of air allows the specialist instrument to calculate your IOP.
